Dreamer's Christmas Memories

I was not blessed with a great memory. So the little snippets I do have are precious to me.

What I do remember:

*I think I was either 5 or 6 when Santa left a footstep in the fireplace. I was so excited to find a imprint of his big shoe in the ash. The man who put it there is still and will forever be my hero.

*Being excited to find these cool giant Santa cookies to have my children leave for Santa to have with some milk when he stopped by. Imagine how disappointed Santa was when the cookie was beyond stale. LOL

*Being 10 or 11 and getting my first big girl bike.

*Finding the almond in the rice pudding to win a chocolate Santa. Funny how that seemed to happen every year growing up. My brother and sister always found almonds too. *smiles*

*Christmas morning breakfasts with my Aunt, Uncle and their children.

*The first Christmas we had in our house here in 2006 and our last Christmas that we will have had here... just this past one in 2009. I'm just glad my children got to enjoy the holidays here instead of the cramped apartment we are going to move to.
